Volumio browser runtime hardcodes IP into calls

Hi there,

please correct me if this works as intended but on a vanilla install of Volumio 2.185 (build from the 3rd of June) the browser runtime at some point stops using the requested domain and instead uses an IP of the System. This may not be obvious if You are just using one interface but I want to be able to control the thing over a VPN and this breaks the UI.

Any ideas?

PS: sorry if this has been discussed already, I tried searching but only got irrelevant results.

It’s not hardcoded, but the UI won’t work on a VPN, since we need an ip to bind socket.io.

We are working to solve this, with the new myvolumio services that we’re building :wink:
