Using Volumio over VM

Hi there, this is my first attempt for using Volumio at all, so thanks for understanding

Since I have NAS i tried to avoid getting Raspberry for Volumio and decided to try to install it on by NAS
On github.com/volumio/Volumio2 I have found images for VM’s and I choose VirtualBox

Installation went well and i am able to connect to the server over console, see the IP etc
Unfortunately i cannot connect to webgui over volumio.local or over IP address, seems like the web-ui is not working at all

i have tried to reinstall MPD with no positive results.

can someone advice what am i doing wrong?

You may want to setup Virtualbox VM with bridged network interface, rather than NAT.
Some setup info here.

If I got you right, you want to run the VM on your NAS. If it supports VMs, also check how access to external devices and hardware in general works. You will need some configuration in order to get some sound out of it. If you plan on using a USB DAC, make sure the VM can have direct/exclusive hardware access.
