Tinkerboard white noise with DSD direct.

I have installed latest Volumio on the Tinkerboard. Why?? Because i only need a device with proper USB Out.

Everything does what it does its fast and everything sounds well.

My DAC is a Cayin N3 DAP which is capable to decode DSD.

I have set Volumio on DSD direct but I get white noise. I can hear the music in the background.
Looked on the forum and several mentioned the volume needs to be at 100%.
Tried that but with no effect.

What could I try more?

With S/pdif mounted i have enormous dropouts…

I couldn’t find how to ssh the Tinker board.

go to <your.ip>/dev and tick the ssh button, that will allow you to log in with ssh…

Ditto with my Schiit Modi 2 Uber, but only with web radio/streams, and only some of them. The Audiophile Jazz for example, under the Volumio web radio section, does this.

OK, so this is working for me on my Schiit Modi 2 Uber. Under “Playback Settings”, enable “Audio Resampling”, and what I did was change “Target Bit Depth” to 32. I noticed that changing either that setting or “Target Sample Rate” to anything other than Native, the white noise went away.

Okay i will try that…on the Cayin N3. Which not is a big deal if it works or not.

My main DAC now is the SMSL M8a which works fine on USB.
Although the Coax Spdif is a bit of a problem. Drop outs in Sound.

Just now realized we are in my thread as well  I put up my /etc/mpd.conf in that thread.
