SWYH (Stream What You Hear) on Volumio 2

Hello,
I’m trying to use SWYH (www.streamwhatyouhear.com) on Windows 10 with Volumio 2 (2.201), but it doesn’t work.

I can see Volumio, but it doesn’t stream my music: instead, it starts the last song played. The single working option is the “HTTP Live Streaming”.

Does anyone has an idea?

Thank you!

Dear community,

I am facing the same issue - I cannot send sound from SWYH to Volumio. Last local track instad begin to play. Any solution to this? SWYH 1.4 on Windows 10 64 bit, Volumio 2.348.

Kind regards,
Anton Golubev

Hi, I have the same issue. Just starting playback from the queue (even when I’m unchecking the Volumio).
Volumio 2.348
SWYH 1.4 (16069)
W10 (1709)

Hi,
I got the same issue as all my previous commenters.

I am using the latest volumio and swyh.

Does anyone have an idea?

Hi,

I encountered the same behaviour.
You could use Foobar2000 with the UPNP-plugins.

Select the Volumio as output in Foobar.
Then configure SWYH and stream to Foobar.

Works great for me.

Foobar2000:
https://www.foobar2000.org/getfile/708d262475dd781e15b4f8b5cb1e977e/foobar2000_v1.3.17.exe
UPNP plugins:
https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_out_upnp
https://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_upnp

VLC should also work anyhow - didn’t test it

Attention: The HTTP option of SWYH degrades the sound quality remarkable ! I hope they will fix this one day…

Thanks a lot for this. It works really good for me.

SWYH gives to Foobar IP:53680/stream/swyh.wav, so you can create a radio with this address and Foobar is not needed.
