I am a music maniac and finally I came to Volumio on a RPi 3 with HiFiBerry DAC+ Pro to get Network player features with my old standard receiver.
Now I can listen to Internet Radio, Spotify and music files from my HDD and NAS. And all this in very good audio quality, not much difference to my Piuoneer N-50A Network player.
I like this forum very much because I can see, that development still is going on.
I would like to use Volumio on a Raspberry Pi with HiFiBerry, little touchscreen and on / off buttons (maybe including amplifier, at least for headphones). It would be a nice stand alone player to use on my little sailing yacht during summertime holidays (beeing a sailing maniac too
