About the auto syncing of Playlist file

HI.

I’ve seen the feature of MyVolumio as follows:

  • Auto syncing of playlists, webradio favourites, my webradios, favourites

If I have two different volumio device like Raspberry which has the same name of playlist, how does auto syncing of playlist work?
Do two file become merged into one file since they have same file name?

I don’t know the mechanism of the auto-synching of MyVolumio, but I did a little experiment. I disabled all 3 of my Volumio devices from MyVolumio, and made an identically named playlist on two of the devices (with different contents). After re-enabling all three, I eventually ended up with the same playlist (name & contents) on each of the three devices. The playlist was that created on the first device listed on MyVolumio. Now, I can’t be bothered to try changing orders of devices around, and repeating the exercise, but feel free to try yourself, and report back here.

Thank you for your reply and an experiment.

I didn’t purposefully try but I also found one play list has been replaced by the other devices’s playlist which has same file name.
From now on I think I should be careful when I create a new playlist in order not to be overwritted.
