Udoo Quad - ISSUES

Hello,

I’d like to report some problems:

  1. sATA HDD is not recognised automatically, therefor database can’t be updated.
  2. My Macbook can’t see Volumio as Airplay device (reset doesn’t help) anymore. I can access Volumio in shared devices, though.

Cheers,
Adam

sATA HDD database solution - thanks Michalangelo!

Hi,

i tried to mount my ssd via sata port exact the same way like michelangelo wrote but at the end i had a problem that i cant solve. When i type:

nano /ect/fstab

nano opens, but all is empty which means that there is nothing in the fstab file. And also when i type something and try to save nano couldn`t find the file fstab (of course)

i really dont have a clue why i cant see the content of the fstab file or why nano cant find the fstab file. Do someone of the experts the have an idea why?

Thanks very much for any helps.

Efreak0314

that’s odd…

that should work - nano /etc/fstab
you taped nano /ect/fstab

please check again

fstab file on UDOO is empty…

Try with sudo

sudo nano /etc/fstab

ctrl+x to save…

Hi all,
Thanks for your replies. It works! BUT volumio dont mount my Sata drive automatically on boot…

How can i change that?

If you can see the files, the last thing is enabling this to be mounted at boot . We add a line to fstab

CODE: SELECT ALL
nano /etc/fstab

Add this at the end (change the name with the name of your drive.

CODE: SELECT ALL
/dev/sda1 /mnt/HARDDISK vfat defaults 0 0

if it is FAT32
CODE: SELECT ALL
/dev/sda1 /mnt/HARDDISK ntfs-3g defaults 0 0

if it is NTFS
