[Solved] How to configure ffmpeg support (m4a, AAC files)?

Even as in the default configuration ffmpeg support is enabled, while scanning my NAX, all *.m4h files are ignored (AAC without DRM). How could this be solved?

nano /etc/mpd.conf

And re enable ffmpeg support, save with ctrl+x . This is mpd’s bug, if it finds strange tags, it just halts and db update takes forever. Appears to be solved in new versions…

Hi did you find a solution to this?

As the original poster said, it looks like ffmpeg is already enabled with my installation… but it seems to ignore my m4a files.

“mpd -V” does show m4a listed against ffmpeg.

Thanks!

They are not appearing in the library section, but you should see 'em in browse mode… Let me know!
