I am planning for a standalone audio player, i am stuck between two choices either Beaglebone or cubox i. Can anyone let me know which device would be better in terms of audio quality? I have an external USB DAC currently which i plan to connect to these devices.
The audio quality will be mostly determined by your DAC, and power supply in some aspect, but not the main CPU board.
I would get BB if I had the same choice. I could put BB into my own case with DAC together.
Cubox has its own case already so the DAC will be hanging around. No fun for me in this case.
